MoonPay is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a specialization in Machine Learning to join our Data Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the robust data infrastructure necessary to power our machine learning initiatives and data products.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to support machine learning workloads.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to productionize models and optimize data workflows.
- Implement data quality, monitoring, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity.
- Architect data storage and processing solutions that balance performance, cost, and scalability.
- Mentor other engineers and advocate for best practices in data engineering.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with a focus on supporting ML/AI systems.
- Expertise in building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
- Proficiency in cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data warehouse technologies.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Proven experience with ML lifecycle tooling (MLflow, Feast, Kubeflow) and data infrastructure for model training and serving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position offering flexible work arrangements for candidates based in South Africa, the United Kingdom, or Spain. Specific in-office requirements will be determined by team and location.
