NPR is seeking a Mobile iOS Engineer to join our Audience Technology team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality listening, reading, and viewing experiences across our digital platforms. You'll work on high-performing Scrum teams on iOS feature development, involved in all aspects of the SDLC for existing and new NPR apps.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate with other iOS Engineers to develop new product features, working closely with designers, product managers, and editorial stakeholders.
- Contribute to system architecture, processes, and business requirements.
- Break down statements of work into achievable goals and tickets for sprints.
- Articulate robust solution designs and technology constraints to internal and external audiences.
- Maintain the existing codebase, optimizing performance and refactoring code using a test-driven development mindset.
- Contribute to all aspects of our SDLC, from planning and development to code reviews, release, and after-hours support.
- Participate in initiatives for system and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of three years of mobile development experience in a professional environment.
- Experience leading or collaborating on iOS feature development through deployment to production.
- Experience documenting architecture and system designs.
- Experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Creativity, initiative, and a thirst for innovation and learning.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze needs from stakeholders and offer technical solutions.
- Vigor for crafting well-tested, well-documented, and elegantly structured code.
