Role Overview
A senior-level engineering position is available for a Mobile Broadband Engineer to support the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of mobile broadband and cellular services across BAN. This mission-critical role ensures reliable, secure, and compliant communications infrastructure through expert-level technical oversight and problem resolution. The position supports remote work but includes up to 25% travel to support field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy mobile broadband and cellular solutions in alignment with BAN requirements
- Ensure adherence to technical standards for spectrum utilization, antenna deployment, power specifications, and backhaul connectivity
- Maintain performance and reliability across both legacy and modern communication networks
- Diagnose and resolve network issues affecting broadband systems
- Install, configure, and optimize broadband network components
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and capacity
- Conduct testing of emerging broadband technologies prior to deployment
- Perform routine maintenance to extend system lifespan and ensure peak functionality
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to enhance overall network performance
- Document all phases of system installation, maintenance, and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards
- Apply advanced troubleshooting methods to resolve technical faults quickly and effectively
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with a high school diploma or associate degree
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Strong working knowledge of broadband system technologies, network protocols, and infrastructure
- Holding of CCNA, JNCIA, or comparable certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Active Secret clearance is required

Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in the Chicago area, with remote work permitted. Up to 25% travel may be required to support operational needs.
