Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, is looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3) to join Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS). In this role, you will be a crucial part of the development and production of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and tooling requirements
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for the Starliner program
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues
- Task lead critical operations on the manufacturing shop floor
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and assembly of components
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, or Supplier Quality
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes and standards
- Experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages)
- Experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience showcasing effective communication, organizational and team oriented skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends as mission requires it
Nice to Have
- Experience with spacecraft electrical harness fabrication and installations
- Experience with Model Based Instruction (MBI) production planning
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools
Technical Stack
- CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
