ActioNet, Inc. is looking for a Microsoft Defender Specialist to join our Infrastructure Support team. You will support our IT Endpoint Protection Team in implementing the Microsoft Defender solution and managing the transition to emerging Microsoft technologies as we advance our security posture.
What You'll Do
- Support the IT Endpoint Protection team, primarily responsible for BitLocker Encryption and the Microsoft Defender Suite.
- Maintain agent handlers, repositories, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 Defender, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Support the transition to emerging Microsoft technologies.
- Implement the Microsoft Defender solution including MDE, MDO, MDCA, and MTD.
- Deploy complex architectures based on Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Microsoft 365 Defender.
- Coordinate efforts to test and verify solutions for future implementation.
- Assist in developing standard processes and technical directions for Level 2 and Level 1 resources.
- Provide Level 3 support for all End User computing solutions and services.
- Design 'Modern Workspace' solutions.
- Support security-minded solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Defender ATP.
- Experience with Server management, including Virtualization.
- Experience with PowerShell or a similar scripting language.
- Experience with Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Strong Excel skills to support reporting and data analysis duties.
- Experience with end user technology deployments and upgrades.
- Experience supporting: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager Admin Center, Microsoft Mobile Threat Defender (MTD), Microsoft Defender for Office (MDO), Microsoft Security Administration, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Configuration management, G5 Licensing subscription entitlements or non-government equivalent, Active Directory (on prem/cloud), Azure (hybrid environments), GPOs, and Windows Server Admin.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of IT experience, or 11 years of IT experience.
- Experience managing and administrating systems associated with software deployments, patches, and scripts in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience collaborating with peers and managers to identify, manage, and generate appropriate reporting and metrics standards based on deployments and management needs.
- Ability to be an active and detailed-oriented team member, solving problems by recommending outside-the-box, cost-effective solutions.
- Experience managing complex IT projects involving multiple teams or organizations.
- Experience tracking and resolving incidents via a ticket queue.
- Experience providing hands-on PC and mobile support to end users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience collaborating with peer and client teams.
- ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) experience.
- Experience using a Helpdesk system – ServiceNow is a plus.
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
- Experience working remotely and onsite.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Microsoft Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400).
- Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate (MS-500).
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+).
- Experience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).
