Responsibilities
- Review Contract Documents, making suggestions/recommendations as they relate to the MEP trades
- Review MEP, OFCI submittals and shop drawings to make sure they align with the project drawings and specifications
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the project design and construction teams, both internal and external to the client organization
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure that all MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design
- Assist with the management of MEP subcontractors throughout duration of the project (Construction through Commissioning and Turnover to Owner)
- Implement Brasfield & Gorrie’s Cx process throughout the project from Level 1 to Level 5 of Commissioning
- Facilitate quality assurance program for owner-furnished equipment including review of specifications, submittals, FWT, freight/logistics, care/custody, protection, installation, startup & commissioning
- Manage Commissioning Software (CxAlloy) for the project from checklist completion to Issue management
- Review and Approve MOPS for Energizations/Tie ins/Fill and Flush etc.
- Review Project documents related to installation and equipment, E.g., Torque, Testing, Startup Reports etc.
- Coordinate and Lead Equipment walkdowns to inspect and sign off for Energizations
- Develop and Manage the Commissioning schedule working with Subcontractors and OFCI Vendors for durations and sequence
- Work closely with the CxA to coordinate their schedule and assist with the completion of Level 4 & 5
- Actively participate and/or lead Internal and Client meetings related to turnover and commissioning
- Supervise, develop, and mentor project staff, if applicable
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with MEP construction and commissioning management
- Thorough knowledge of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low-voltage systems
- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project
- Strong experience in managing relationships with owners representatives, architects, engineers and clients on a professional level while supervising subcontractors and vendors is a priority
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
Nice to Have
- A relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field would be an advantage
- Commissioning experience on large-scale Mission Critical projects is preferred
