Trane Technologies is looking for a Medical Support Assistant to join our team. In this PRN (as-needed) Float Pool position, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support quality and compassionate patient care under direct supervision. You'll be based onsite in the Saint Clair Shores, MI and Troy, Michigan areas.
What You'll Do
- Escort patients to rooms and prepare them for examination, procedure, and treatment.
- Obtain and record vital signs.
- Obtain and record patient history, employing critical thinking skills.
- Prepare for, set up, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments per established protocols.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies.
- Actively monitor and respond to patient requests via telephone encounter, In Basket message, and/or My Chart.
- Discharge patients and provide after-visit instructions as directed by the provider.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Nice to Have
- At least one (1) year of related experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively.
- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
