Responsibilities
- Create robotic and electromechanical solutions for remotely managing materials in extreme conditions involving high heat, corrosion, and radiation
- Establish system architecture, performance requirements, control logic, and technical specifications for automated material transport and processing
- Integrate sensors, control systems, and automation hardware to enable dependable unattended operations
- Lead technical development of handling and automation systems throughout their full lifecycle
- Produce detailed documentation to support manufacturing, setup, commissioning, operation, and servicing of automated machinery
- Prepare technical records for regulatory submissions and organizational knowledge retention
- Construct, evaluate, and refine prototypes of automation and material-handling components
- Author precise technical reports and share findings effectively across multiple engineering disciplines
