Advantest America is hiring a Mechanical Engineer contractor to provide key support in the mechanical design and product development of semiconductor automated test equipment. In this role, you will work directly with project technical leads on a variety of engineering tasks.
What You'll Do
- Assist project technical leads with mechanical design support, including 3D part and assembly modeling and drawing generation.
- Assist project technical leads with executing Design of Experiments (DoEs).
- Assist project technical leads with hands-on building and testing of prototypes for design validation and product qualification.
- Assist project technical leads with initiating and executing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) directly in CAD.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Solidworks for part and assembly design, drawing creation, and FEA.
- Experience supporting mechanical design and analysis within a product development environment.
- Ability to perform tolerance analysis.
- Hands-on aptitude for building and testing physical prototypes.
- Strong collaboration skills to assist project technical leads effectively.
