General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring an IBM Master Data Management (MDM) Application Database Administrator to support the Duplicate Identity Resolution Processing Team (DIRP-II). In this role, you will oversee complex programs that drive mission outcomes for the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), ensuring the data integrity and availability of critical Oracle production databases supporting the IBM Infosphere MDM application.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support all MDM application database administration activities.
- Collaborate with developers, data analysts, business analysts, and customers to develop requirements and provide DBA technical support.
- Maintain MDM databases in accordance with contractual deliverables and proactively monitor database health.
- Develop transaction analysis reports on volumes and error types by application.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of MDM database tables, including member, dictionary, task, and algorithm configuration tables.
- Develop SQL scripts to support operations and new requirements.
- Gain expertise in the MDM algorithm and functional components like Standardization, Bucketing, Comparison, and Generation.
- Assist with implementing Electronic-Identity, Credentialing and Access Management (E-ICAM) for the MDM application.
- Manage the migration of the MDM database from on-premises to OCI Cloud.
- Ensure all MDM data management practices adhere to relevant Government standards and regulations.
- Implement and monitor MDM security auditing through Websphere Application Server (WAS).
- Maintain current knowledge of the MDM Infosphere product suite and relevant DMDC infrastructure technologies.
- Troubleshoot issues identified by users and understand DMDC application interactions with the MDM interface.
What We're Looking For
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DMDC Position of Trust (Secret clearance).
- Meet DOD 8570 Baseline IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or higher).
- BA/BS in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent related field.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle and SQL tools, Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, and awareness of DoD cyber security policies.
- Must be a quick learner with medium to high complexity IT systems and an analytical thinker with excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- DMDC Public Trust clearance.
- Security+ CE or higher certification.
- Knowledge and experience with IBM Infosphere Master Data Management Products, including configuring/administering components.
- Understanding of IBM InfoSphere MDM architecture, data model, and MDM Websphere Application Server (WAS).
- Previous experience within the DoD and DMDC.
- Experience with Cloud (Oracle, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and software development.
- Knowledge of JAVA and UNIX scripting.
