What You'll Do
- Define and own the UX vision, strategy, and design standards across product lines
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UX designers, researchers, and content strategists
- Establish UX best practices, processes, and scalable design systems
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and methodologies across the organization
- Oversee end-to-end UX design, including discovery, wireframes, prototypes, and final design execution
- Ensure design consistency and usability across web, mobile, and other digital touchpoints
- Conduct and guide usability testing, user research, and data-driven design decisions
- Review and provide constructive feedback on all design deliverables
- Partner with Product Managers to align UX strategy with product roadmaps and business goals
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation
- Present design concepts, user insights, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Translate complex requirements into simple, intuitive, and accessible user experiences
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design
- 3+ years in a leadership, management, or principal design role
- Experience with AI-assisted design/development tools and prompt engineering
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual storytelling
- Proficiency in modern design tools, preferably AI-driven, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Next.js)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries
- A background in software engineering or computer science
