3M is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed assembly and packaging machinery and related equipment. You'll collaborate with a diverse team and have the opportunity to transition other professional experiences into a career at 3M.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including pick and place robotics, indexing tables, vibratory feeder bowls, conveyors, box erectors, vertical baggers, and in-line packaging machines.
- Work on dot matrix printers, pumps, mixers, dispensing systems for fluids, air-vey units, microwave dryers, and air powered handling systems.
- Service laser, UV curing, presses, loaders, and ultrasonic welding systems.
- Perform electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Conduct repair, installation, modification, and adjustments of high-speed assembly and packaging machinery.
What We're Looking For
- Possess a two-year degree in a maintenance field OR possess a high school diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start) and be pursuing a two-year degree in a maintenance field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
