Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy models that solve complex business challenges. In this remote role, you will develop production-ready models and intelligent workflows, embedding AI into core business processes as part of our Data & AI team.
What You'll Do
- Design, train, and fine-tune machine learning models to address real-world business problems and deploy them at scale.
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for structured and unstructured data ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation.
- Integrate ML models into complete workflows, including serving, monitoring, and evaluating performance in production environments.
- Apply advanced AI techniques such as transformers, LLMs, RAG, vector embeddings, predictive modeling, and reinforcement learning.
- Continuously monitor and optimize deployed models to enhance accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate on MLOps practices including CI/CD, automated deployment, and testing of AI systems.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and problem-solving initiatives with cross-functional teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in machine learning engineering or applied AI roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, from prototyping to production deployment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks and building scalable solutions.
- Proficient in handling complex, large-scale datasets—structured and unstructured.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and model performance.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional stakeholders.
