Lightly AG is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the core ML team at a fast-growing AI startup. In this role, you will work mainly on the open-source package for self-supervised learning and similar internal frameworks, using state-of-the-art technology and representing the company at conferences.
What You'll Do
- Work on the open-source Python package for self-supervised learning (lightly-ai/lightly).
- Add support for finetuning pretrained models for downstream computer vision tasks like object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Keep up with current research in self-supervised learning and multi-modal models.
- Participate in and hold paper sessions about the latest papers in the field.
- Represent the company at machine learning conferences and engage with the community.
What We're Looking For
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in deep learning and computer vision, ideally in self-supervised learning.
- Experience working with PyTorch.
- Excellent Python coding skills and knowledge of software engineering best practices.
- Experience with building and shipping software solutions.
- Strong passion for new technologies and interest in keeping up with the latest technologies and publications in deep learning.
Nice to Have
- Experience with testing and typed Python.
