Responsibilities
- Address advanced technical issues involving servers, storage, and virtualization escalated from frontline support teams.
- Establish consistent and efficient server and infrastructure setups across client environments.
- Set up and manage core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS permissions, Group Policy, and backup systems.
- Operate and maintain VMware, Hyper-V, NSX, clustering, high availability, and virtual network components.
- Handle storage administration tasks including LUN and Datastore provisioning, iSCSI configurations, and host-level mappings.
- Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures, configuration standards, and system designs.
- Work closely with network and security specialists to ensure integrated system performance.
- Implement automation for system provisioning, patch management, and monitoring processes where feasible.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering staff.
- Assist in special projects including rapid response initiatives and strategic engineering efforts.
