About the Role
The role is responsible for managing relationships with lenders and developing capital market strategies to grow funding for nonprofit lending programs. The individual will work cross-functionally to structure and execute financing solutions that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective lenders
- Lead outreach efforts to expand the organization’s investor base
- Structure and manage capital campaigns to support lending activities
- Collaborate with finance teams to align funding strategies with program needs
- Monitor market trends affecting nonprofit capital access
- Develop materials for investor communications and reporting
- Coordinate due diligence processes with external partners
- Support the design of financial products tailored to mission-aligned investors
- Track and report on capital flow performance metrics
- Represent the organization at industry events and investor forums
- Work with legal and compliance to ensure adherence to financial regulations
- Negotiate terms with lending partners
- Manage data systems for investor records and engagement tracking
- Provide analysis on funding opportunities and risks
- Assist in preparing board-level financial updates
- Facilitate investor onboarding and orientation sessions
- Maintain documentation for capital market activities
- Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency
- Support impact measurement efforts related to funding sources
- Coordinate with communications to align messaging with capital goals
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in business, finance, or public administration
- Certification such as CFA or CPA
- Direct experience in nonprofit lending programs
- Existing network of impact investors or lenders
- Experience in raising capital from institutional sources
- Background in community development finance
