About the Role
This role leads the product design function, overseeing the creation of intuitive digital experiences. The person will work closely with product managers and engineers to define design direction, ensure consistency, and deliver high-quality user interfaces grounded in user research and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design strategy aligned with product vision
- Mentor and manage a team of product designers
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define feature requirements
- Conduct and interpret user research to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Establish and maintain design systems and pattern libraries
- Ensure accessibility and usability across all design outputs
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
- Drive design consistency across platforms and touchpoints
- Champion user-centered design principles across the organization
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results
- Oversee the end-to-end design process from concept to launch
- Identify opportunities for innovation in user experience
- Work within agile development cycles
- Coordinate with marketing and customer support for alignment
- Evaluate emerging design tools and methodologies
- Represent design in executive-level discussions
- Set performance goals and conduct reviews for design team members
- Foster a culture of creativity, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Ensure brand alignment in all product interfaces
