Cushman & Wakefield Global, Inc is looking for a Lead GIS Solutions Architect to design and build the geospatial platform supporting our global real estate services. This senior technical role blends advanced GIS expertise with modern software engineering to deliver high-impact tools for site selection, market analysis, and client-facing intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of custom GIS tools, web applications, and automated workflows to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Design and administer ArcGIS Enterprise deployments, including Portal, Server, and web adaptors.
- Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Python, .NET, and Azure Functions.
- Manage spatial data pipelines and automation using ArcPy, FME, Azure Data Factory, and Logic Apps.
- Integrate GIS platforms with Microsoft enterprise services including Azure SQL, Synapse, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Monitor performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and data teams to ensure compliance with enterprise governance and cloud standards.
- Lead technical design reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Provide guidance and training to GIS staff on best practices and software utilization.
- Work directly with brokers and clients to understand needs and deliver tailored GIS solutions and presentations.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all GIS data and products.
- Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
What We're Looking For
- Expert-level proficiency with the ESRI ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Ability to architect, develop, and maintain GIS technologies in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and scripting, preferably using Python, and understanding of alternatives like Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau.
- Strong skills with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft suite including Teams and SharePoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for a non-technical audience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
