Genesis is looking for a Lead Front-end Engineer to spearhead development on JustDone, an AI assistant that helps academic audiences work with scientific papers and conduct research. You will lead the front-end team, elevate technical standards, and implement effective solutions to improve quality and development velocity.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop front-end team members through mentoring and task distribution.
- Establish processes and approaches for front-end product development, including code review, autotests, CI/CD, and technical debt management.
- Solve complex technical, strategic, and architectural questions, coordinating new product architecture.
- Interact with other product teams through grooming sessions and consultations to solve complex tasks.
- Collaborate with the head of product, designers, and leads of other directions to achieve synergy.
- Improve code quality, delivery speed, and application performance.
- Participate in developing new features and products alongside Backend and NLP teams.
- Create, develop, and modify the platform and existing functionality.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Front-end development with deep knowledge of modern approaches.
- 3+ years in a Tech/Team Lead role, including team management, mentoring, code review, and architectural decisions.
- Experience with TypeScript, React, Redux, Next JS, HTML, CSS, and Figma.
- Experience configuring Webpack.
- Deep understanding of client-server interaction principles.
- Understanding of setting up CI/CD for client applications (AWS, S3, CloudFront).
- Experience writing unit and e2e tests.
- Experience working with user analytics and A/B testing.
