Carry1st is hiring a Lead Engineer - Shop to lead the delivery of the Carry1st Shop across multiple distribution channels. You will evolve and grow the shop platform, gaining deep knowledge of gaming monetization and scaling the platform for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and convert these into technical specifications for the development team.
- Lead the team through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance phases.
- Write testable, scalable, and efficient code while conducting regular code reviews.
- Promote and improve development best practices by partnering with our Senior Staff Engineers and CTO.
- Perform line management duties and grow the engineering careers of your direct reports.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success as a team lead.
- Ability to collaborate with non-engineering, sometimes non-English speaking stakeholders and lead teams through software delivery.
- Strong system design skills to consistently design scalable features and document them efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of full-stack software development, with experience writing scalable software and reviewing code.
- Experience with e-commerce frameworks and tools related to analytics, CMS, experimentation, and localization.
- Strong project management skills using Scrum, including knowledge of ceremonies, measuring team effectiveness, and managing the backlog with a product manager.
