  • Lead the selection of key components like MCUs, FPGAs, and Power Management ICs, balancing cost, availability, and performance.
  • Conduct critical design reviews (Architecture, Schematic, Layout, DFx) to ensure high-quality output.
  • Design complex mixed-signal, analog, and digital circuits.
  • Perform schematic capture and oversee or execute complex PCB layouts involving multi-layer boards, high-speed signals, and impedance control.
  • Simulate and analyze circuits using tools like SPICE, CST, or Cadence Sigrity to validate designs before prototyping.
  • Develop hardware verification plans and lead board bring-up, debugging, and characterization.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FCC, CE, UL, and RoHS, and EMI/EMC requirements.
  • Work closely with Firmware/Software and Mechanical Engineering teams to define hardware interfaces and manage thermal design.
  • Manage JDM partner relationships and oversee the transition from EVT/DVT through to PVT and Mass Production.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in hardware design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role.
  • Expert proficiency in either Altium Designer or Cadence Tools Suite.
  • A strong background in at least one specialty area: Power electronics, high-speed digital design, RF, or embedded systems.
  • Deep understanding of standard communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, and MIPI.
  • Hands-on capability with soldering and lab equipment for debugging prototypes.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven mentorship capabilities and a talent for elevating team technical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FPGA design using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  • Experience designing for harsh environments and adhering to strict regulatory standards in sectors like health tech, aerospace and defense, or industrial.
  • Familiarity with Python or C/C++ for scripting test automation.
  • Previous experience guiding a product through certification testing for EMC/EMI or Safety.

Technical Stack

  • Design Tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Tools Suite
  • Simulation: SPICE, CST, Cadence Sigrity
  • Languages: Verilog, VHDL, Python, C/C++
