Inventive Food Technology (IFF) is looking for a Lab Intern 2 to join our team. This role trains under guidance to develop foundational business knowledge and technical skills on the path to becoming an Associate Designer. You will support senior Designers on IFF's internal and external projects.
What You'll Do
- Learn fundamental design skills and knowledge of the portfolio applicable to your focus Category.
- Understand the basic functionality and performance of the portfolio relevant to the Category in focus.
- Gain exposure to the full portfolio and learn evaluation and selection techniques for relevant projects.
- Operate and maintain lab and pilot equipment.
- Explore new ingredients and technologies to understand their performance in different product solutions.
- Broaden your business understanding of other functions like Production, Quality Control, Sales and Marketing, and Product Experience (PX).
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning.
- Exhibit capabilities to operate as a team member.
What We're Looking For
- A University or College Degree in Food Science and Technology or a related discipline such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Human Nutrition.
- Knowledge of food safety, raw materials, food regulations, sanitation, and production processes.
- Ability to pass the internal IFF sensory test.
Nice to Have
- 0–1 years of internship experience in a similar role or the seasoning/flavor industry.
