Pleasantdale School District #107 is looking for a Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Pleasantdale Elementary School. You will be responsible for providing foundational instruction to students, developing engaging lessons, and fostering a positive learning environment for young learners.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies based on student needs and district outcomes.
- Plan and carry out group and individual academic lessons.
- Keep ongoing records of both academic and behavioral student progress.
- Maintain and exhibit general and personal safety practices in the classroom.
- Monitor student behavior during classroom and passing periods.
- Promote a collaborative relationship with fellow teachers.
- Establish working relationships with and provide feedback to administrators, parents, and community agencies.
- Make proactive calls to parents and district staff concerning behavior, grades, and school conferences.
- Complete academic assessments of student learning.
- Attend building staff meetings and applicable in-service professional development programs.
- Participate and prepare information for evaluations and progress review meetings as determined by the district.
- Utilize applicable technology to support performance responsibilities.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
- Assume personal responsibility for professional performance and growth.
- Work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Utilize effective problem-solving processes.

What We're Looking For
- Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Building Administrator and be an integral part of our elementary school team.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at Pleasantdale Elementary School in La Grange.
