Responsibilities
- Build and develop the business relationship, implement regular meeting structure on operational level.
- Create, participate and lead strategic top2top meetings & relationship on a national / international level.
- Take full customer P&L responsibility.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and lead contract negotiations to successful conclusions.
- Win & defend profitable contracts.
- Implement company’s growth strategy.
- Develop new growth opportunity within the defined category.
- Analyze client needs and develop customized solutions that provide measurable value.
- Ensure close cooperation with HQs shared services (product management, customer service, transport, warehouses, sales planning, finance & accounting).
- Create and lead projects related to optimization & improvements of customer and product P&L.
- Monitor competitors and market trends to proactively respond and activate opportunities.
- Share market intelligence with organization.
- Forecasting & planning in accordance with customer development plans.
- Close tracking of customer and product KPIs, objectives and activation measures.
- Regular reporting to the line manager with recommendation for improving and decision taking.
Requirements
- Academic degree in business administration or comparable knowledge & experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sales as key account manager for private label divisions & products.
- Applications will only be considered if at least 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector is evident.
Nice to Have
- Preferred experience areas / sectors in FMCG: hygienic paper industry, cleaning & detergent industry, health & personal care industry.
- Additional experience in marketing in FMCG, ideally with experience in product or project management of private labels.
- Knowledge of retail structures, experience and network with trade-customer and their private label structures: drugstore (DM, Rossmann, Müller), retail (EDEKA, Rewe, Kaufland), discount (Aldi, Lidl, Norma, Penny, Netto).
- Proven track record in customer management.
- Category management expertise: In-depth knowledge of category management processes and tools.
