CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Verbraucherdienstleistungen Österreich GmbH is hiring a Junior Software Developer for its CTO Taskforce Team. In this unique role, you will provide direct support to the CTO while working on strategic, company-wide IT projects. You will learn strategic thinking and future-oriented leadership while gaining practical programming experience across a variety of initiatives.

What You'll Do

Serve as part of a taskforce implementing high-priority projects across the entire CHECK24 group.
Independently execute company-wide IT process optimizations, analyzing the status quo, designing KPIs, deriving optimization potentials, and implementing solutions in collaboration with respective departments.
Further develop various projects within the holding company, such as central customer accounts (SSO).
Analyze and prepare information from the entire CHECK24 group for the CTO.
Support the CTO in group-wide personnel development measures for all CHECK24 software developers, for example through workshops.
Conceive and implement the CHECK24 Open Source strategy, including expanding the GitHub account and supporting the community.

What We're Looking For

Excellent grades in a completed relevant university degree, such as Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.
Very good command of at least one programming or scripting language, including PHP, Python, Golang, Java, or C#.
High willingness to learn and motivation to continuously familiarize yourself with new technologies, programming languages, and setups.
Pronounced analytical skills with high problem-solving competence.
High self-motivation and self-discipline to bring projects across the finish line.
Communication skills and a good sense for people to build the best technical solutions in cooperation with various departments.
Good Linux and DevOps knowledge.
Negotiation-level German language skills (C2).
