Ruby Labs is hiring a Junior QA Engineer

WinTech is looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our dynamic remote team. This role is ideal for someone with basic QA experience ready to take ownership of testing tasks and grow their skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications meet high standards of quality, contributing to both manual and automated testing across web and mobile platforms.

What You'll Do

• Execute test cases for new features, regression cycles, and bug fixes across web and mobile platforms.
• Write and maintain clear test suites, test cases, and checklists in tools like TestRail or similar.
• Work closely with QA leads, developers, and product managers to understand features and define quality expectations.
• Identify, isolate, and report bugs and usability issues with clear documentation and reproduction steps.
• Assist in expanding automated test coverage.
• Help promote a culture of quality throughout the product development cycle.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ months of experience in software testing, internships, or freelance projects count.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or edge cases.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, bug life cycle, and different types of testing (functional, UI, regression, smoke).
• Familiar with at least one bug tracking system (e.g., Jira) and test documentation tools.
• Interest in learning test automation and basic scripting.
• Good verbal and written English skills; ability to work in a remote, async team.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with frontend debugging tools (e.g., browser dev tools).
• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman.
• Experience with or interest in writing basic automated tests.
• Experience testing React/Next.js-based applications.
