PHASTAR is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to support the development of analytical tools and data pipelines within clinical development. You will leverage your R Programming Skills and R Shiny experience to build impactful solutions for our clinical teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and enhance modular Shiny applications for interactive visualization and reporting of clinical datasets (e.g., Tables, Listings, Figures).
- Implement intuitive, high-performance UI/UX features such as filtering, drill-down, bookmarking, and export options (CSV, XLSX, PDF, RTF).
- Support data integration and pooling of clinical data sources using R and Python to create standardized, analysis-ready datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional clinical development teams to ensure accuracy, traceability, and reproducibility in all data workflows.
- Participate in quality control, testing, and deployment on Posit Connect or equivalent environments.
- Contribute to automation and continuous integration efforts to streamline analytical delivery.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of professional or academic experience developing Shiny applications in R.
- Strong proficiency in R (tidyverse, data.table, ggplot2) and understanding of Shiny reactivity and modular design.
- Basic proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) for data transformation or validation.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, and collaborative coding practices.
