Jr. UI Engineer role at OptiSigns Inc. focused on crafting intuitive digital-screen solutions by translating Figma designs into high-quality front-end code using modern technologies like React or Angular. The engineer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences end-to-end.
What You'll Do
- Design delightful UIs in Figma: information architecture, low- to hi-fi mock-ups, interactive prototypes, component libraries, accessibility states, and responsive breakpoints.
- Build the designs using modern HTML, semantic CSS/SCSS (or Tailwind), TypeScript, and React (Next.js) or Angular.
- Maintain a clean, reusable component system.
- User-test & iterate: run quick usability tests, interpret analytics/heatmaps, and turn findings into improvements.
- Collaborate & ship: work with product managers, full-stack/backend engineers, and QA to deliver features end-to-end.
- Review PRs and improve DX tooling (Storybook, ESLint, Husky, etc.).
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Figma for designing information architecture, mock-ups, interactive prototypes, component libraries, accessibility states, and responsive breakpoints.
- Experience building production UIs with modern HTML, semantic CSS/SCSS or Tailwind, TypeScript, and React (Next.js) or Angular.
- Ability to maintain a clean, reusable component system.
- Experience with usability testing, interpreting analytics/heatmaps, and iterating based on user feedback.
- Proven ability to collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and QA teams to ship end-to-end features.
- Familiarity with developer experience tools such as Storybook, ESLint, and Husky.
