Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Java Developer to join our team. You will contribute to full-stack development projects in a dynamic environment focused on hands-on learning, mentorship, and delivering real-world project experience. Your work will directly provide business value as you collaborate with top-tier enterprise clients across various industries.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure software applications.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Work on integration tasks involving REST APIs, Docker containers, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript or related technologies when required.
- Support and enhance existing applications and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Apply best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on project experience, whether academic or professional, showcasing your development capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-driven, curious mindset committed to continuous technical learning.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to front-end languages like JavaScript or C++.
- Experience in Python, Machine Learning, or Data Science tools such as SAS, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of NLP, Computer Vision, or Time Series Analysis.
