Citi is seeking a Java Developer for a software engineering role on the Equity Finance Technology team. You will work on the Trading application, collaborating with technologists across geographies and directly with traders to deliver business solutions through agile execution.

What You'll Do

Resolve high-impact problems and projects by evaluating complex business processes, system flows, and industry standards.
Provide expertise in applications programming, ensuring design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint.
Utilize advanced system flow knowledge to establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Develop comprehensive understanding of how business areas integrate to achieve goals.
Perform in-depth analysis and apply interpretive thinking to define issues and create innovative solutions.
Serve as an adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, including allocating work.
Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, safeguarding Citi's reputation and assets by driving compliance with laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For

6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis.
Extensive experience in system analysis and programming software applications.
Proven track record of managing and implementing successful projects.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances change.
Extensive development experience with technical skills in Java, Kafka, SQL, Git.
Experience in performing QA.
Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Flexibility to work with a global team across geographies and time zones.
Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

Nice to Have

Experience with React and full-stack development.
Knowledge of Prime Services.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
