BCforward is hiring a Janitor/ Custodian

Responsibilities

  • Clean all restrooms and drinking fountains two times per work shift
  • Sweep and clean the manufacturing floor using powered sweeping and scrubbing equipment
  • Clean the break room after the lunch period, including mopping floors and sanitizing tables
  • Transfer cardboard waste into designated disposal bins
  • Empty trash containers throughout the production area, offices, and break room as required
  • Shovel snow and apply de-icing materials to walkways and entry points when necessary
  • Notify supply coordinators when inventory levels are low
  • Clean production floor windows on an as-needed basis
  • Perform weekly cleaning of office spaces and office flooring
  • Clean fluorescent light fixtures in the production area when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the break room kitchen area
  • Assist with cleanup tasks related to maintenance operations as required
  • Compact and bale cardboard materials for disposal or recycling
  • Follow all safety protocols while performing duties
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors
