Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain vessel IT systems remotely
- Diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues on ships
- Install and configure onboard servers and communication equipment
- Ensure secure and stable internet connectivity across fleets
- Support software updates and system patches for marine systems
- Troubleshoot connectivity problems between shore and vessel networks
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes
- Respond to IT incidents with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with maritime teams to implement technical solutions
- Manage access controls and cybersecurity measures for vessel networks
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement and support
- Perform system audits and performance reviews
- Assist in the rollout of new IT initiatives across the fleet
