Omilia is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide exceptional on-site and remote support, ensuring end-users can work efficiently and securely. You'll be responsible for resolving technical issues in our Apple-centric environment and supporting user onboarding.
What You'll Do
- Provide timely and professional remote technical support to end-users worldwide for all IT-related issues.
- Manage, prioritize, and resolve IT support tickets using Jira Service Desk.
- Set up, configure, and deploy new Apple MacBooks for new hires, including user onboarding.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot a wide range of macOS software and business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Apple MacBooks and Windows PCs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN (Cisco), Wi-Fi, and internet access.
- Manage user accounts and resolve access problems across various platforms.
- Assist with the administration and support of collaboration tools and productivity suites.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Strong customer-service mindset with professionalism, patience, and kindness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification.
- CompTIA A+ certification.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware.
- Hands-on experience with JamfPro for Apple device management.
- Basic administration knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Basic understanding of Windows Server administration (e.g., Active Directory, user accounts, permissions).
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN technologies.
