At Bechtle AG, we are looking for an IT Solution Architect to join our team. You will be responsible for developing holistic end-to-end architecture concepts for modern data center environments and integrating Kubernetes platforms, guiding projects from conception to handover.
What You'll Do
- Develop holistic end-to-end architecture concepts for modern data center environments and integrate Kubernetes platforms.
- Lead architecture and requirements discussions with customers and derive viable solution designs.
- Advise on operations, security, and governance models for platform-wide Kubernetes operations.
- Define the big picture of the overall architecture and technical guardrails for consultants and DevOps engineers.
- Create architecture documentation, decision templates, and presentations for technical and business stakeholders.
- Accompany projects from conception to handover.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in computer science or comparable qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Consultant, System Engineer, or Architect.
- Solid understanding of modern data center architectures (compute, networking, storage, virtualization).
- Experience in designing and documenting complex IT architectures and in architecture workshops.
- Very good understanding of the interfaces between platform, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- Knowledge of common architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, C4) and microservices concepts.
- Willingness to undergo extended security screening according to the Security Screening Act (SÜG).
