Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between regional IT teams and central infrastructure teams to ensure clear communication and coordination across time zones and business units.
- Convert high-level infrastructure strategies and technical requirements from central teams into practical steps for local implementation, while conveying local constraints and risks back to global planners.
- Manage the full lifecycle of servers and infrastructure services, including updates, patching, decommissioning, and compliance checks.
- Lead and support infrastructure projects such as system migrations, tenant separations, server upgrades, and platform transitions, ensuring local teams are prepared and engaged.
- Provide technical expertise during the design, testing, and rollout phases of infrastructure initiatives.
- Conduct infrastructure and security evaluations across locations to verify adherence to global policies and support remediation efforts with local and central teams.
- Keep accurate records for audits, exceptions, and technical validations to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Own and manage global infrastructure services with direct coordination to plant-level operations, such as hardware inventory and asset tracking.
- Encourage operational excellence by training local IT staff on infrastructure standards, best practices, and approved tools.
- Proactively report risks, technical issues, and capacity limitations to enable timely resolution and informed decision-making.
- Interpret central infrastructure policies and architectural guidelines into clear, executable tasks for local IT teams.
- Clarify ambiguous situations by identifying key questions, validating assumptions, and documenting outcomes.
- Develop trusted relationships with local IT teams globally, serving as their go-to resource for infrastructure matters.
- Work closely with central infrastructure teams on the planning, design, testing, and deployment of new systems and changes.
- Participate in cross-functional workshops, task forces, and improvement initiatives to enhance tools, processes, and standards.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration by disseminating best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
