CALIMA is hiring an IOS & watchOS Mobile App Developer (m/w/d)

CALIMA is looking for an IOS & watchOS Mobile App Developer to play a central role in evolving our safety-critical mobile applications. You will focus on developing new features, optimizing existing functions, and ensuring the apps run flawlessly and performantly under all conditions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain iOS and watchOS applications using Swift.
• Build with a core focus on stability, performance, and absolute reliability.
• Implement and optimize critical features, such as real-time accident detection.
• Integrate with native system APIs and backend APIs.
• Ensure code quality through unit tests, UI tests, and refactoring.
• Conduct performance monitoring and debugging to optimize energy efficiency.
• Work closely with our backend and QA team.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience developing native iOS apps.
• Senior-level experience with Swift and the iOS platform.
• Deep understanding of app lifecycle, performance optimization, and background modes.
• Experience with frameworks: Alamofire, NotificationCenter, UserNotifications, CoreLocation, CoreMotion, CoreHaptics, AVFoundation, Combine.
• Experience with unit and UI testing.
• Ability to work independently, structured, and quality-conscious.
• Very good English skills and basic German skills (at least A2).
