Taktile is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer

Taktile is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain our robust cloud infrastructure. You'll architect AWS environments, implement infrastructure as code, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and ensure cloud resources are secure and cost-effective, partnering closely with product engineers and SREs.

What You'll Do

• Own AWS at scale: Operate multi-account AWS Organizations (SCPs, guardrails, budgets), IAM, networking, logging, and account vending.
• Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules and CloudFormation stacks for core platform services and developer self-service.
• Create and maintain GitHub Actions workflows (build/test/release), reusable actions, and environment promotion.
• Improve observability (CloudWatch, alarms, dashboards), backups, disaster recovery runbooks, and incident response automation.
• Implement tagging policies, budgets/alerts, rightsizing and lifecycle policies to keep spend in check.
• Write small tools and automations in Python/Bash to integrate APIs, enforce policies, and eliminate manual steps.
• Partner with product engineers and SREs to deliver paved-road patterns and documentation.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in Infrastructure/Platform/SRE/DevOps roles, operating production systems in AWS.
• Deep experience with Terraform (modules, workspaces, versioning) and CloudFormation (or CDK) in multi-account setups.
• Proven track record building and maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines at scale (matrix builds, reusable workflows, OIDC to AWS).
• Solid understanding of AWS IAM, VPC/networking, logging/monitoring, and account governance.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions) and container platforms (ECS/EKS).
• Policy as code (Open Policy Agent, Conftest), drift detection, and security/compliance guardrails.
• Experience enabling developer self-service platforms/internal developer portals.
