Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-performance Linux systems such as Ubuntu, RHEL, or Amazon Linux, optimized for low-latency financial workloads and secured at the operating system level.
- Create and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, applying software engineering principles like version control and code reviews.
- Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments through well-architected VPCs, VPNs, and routing configurations.
- Operate and configure physical networking hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls, with expertise in multicast, VLANs, and link aggregation.
- Develop and refine deployment pipelines to enable frequent, safe delivery of system updates, patches, and application code.
- Establish robust monitoring with tools like Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana to track service level indicators, set alerts, and enable automated remediation.
- Support and enhance container platforms using Docker or Podman, with emphasis on container networking and runtime performance.
- Integrate security early in the development lifecycle through OS hardening, vulnerability scanning, and precise IAM policy management.
