First Due is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Administer and enhance PostgreSQL databases with a focus on reliability, growth capacity, and data protection.
  • Lead cloud transition efforts with practical expertise in AWS RDS and Aurora services.
  • Maintain and update Debian-based operating systems, including kernel adjustments and software package handling.
  • Track server metrics and apply performance tuning strategies as needed.
  • Create and support Bash scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks.
  • Utilize Ansible for consistent configuration management, deployment, and environment updates.
  • Deploy, adjust, and support web servers including Nginx.
  • Manage encryption protocols, reverse proxy setups, and traffic distribution.
  • Architect and oversee expandable cloud infrastructure on AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Automate resource provisioning in the cloud while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Implement monitoring solutions to identify and address system issues proactively.
  • Diagnose and fix performance issues related to systems and networking.
