Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Location: Remote - India Only Country: India Department: Infrastructure Reports To: Director of Infrastructure and IT Position Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring availability, scalability, and security. Cloud migration and hands on experience on AWS RDS & Aurora Manage and maintain Debian-based systems, including upgrades, kernel tuning, and package management. Monitor server performance and implement optimization measures. Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation of routine tasks. Use Ansible to manage infrastructure configuration, deployment, and updates across environments. Install, configure, and maintain Web Application Servers such as Nginx etc. Handle SSL/TLS configuration, reverse proxying, and load balancing. Design and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS or GCP. Automate cloud provisioning and manage costs effectively. Set up monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure issues. Troubleshoot and resolve system and network performance problems. Qualifications: Must have 7+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with strong exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices Must have 7+ years of Linux system administration experience Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform) Experience with cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines Experience with bash scripting PostgreSQL: Proficient in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with replication (e.g., streaming replication), clustering, and disaster recovery. Experience with the infrastructure design, installation, development, maintenance, patching and enhancement of physical PostgreSQL RDBMS to support agile development teams and mission critical production system. Demonstrable expertise with Migration to cloud, RDS & Aurora in conjunction with performance tuning, replication, and data warehousing. PostgreSQL Index Management Experience with Data modelling tools Schema handling. Database user roles and Security related permission. Experience with developing stored procedures/queries/triggers/views etc… using various SQL scripting languages. Be able to diagnose in real time any bottlenecks, database servers resource utilization that are challenged, etc. AWS: Experience with EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation/Terraform. GCP: Familiarity with Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GCS, and networking. Experience with server hardening, secure configurations, and compliance best practices. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 270001, NIST 800-53, CIS, etc. Experience deploying and maintaining Splunk Enterprise/Cloud environments. Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and CI/CD automation
