The Information Security Engineer will support hardening of Active Directory and secure access controls within a large-scale enterprise. This role focuses on advising on security architecture, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining strong security frameworks to support secure business growth.
Responsibilities
- Support subject matter experts in large-scale Active Directory hardening initiatives across complex environments.
- Advise on best practices for building resilient and scalable security architectures that align with business goals.
- Stay current with evolving technologies, tools, and trends in Active Directory design and administration.
- Contribute to the development of programs and strategies that advance enterprise-wide secure access management.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and define security objectives that support secure organizational growth, ensuring alignment across risk and security teams.
- Help establish standardized security patterns and frameworks to strengthen and evolve the organization's security architecture, working closely with enterprise architecture and governance teams.
- Provide expert guidance to application teams and business units integrating their systems with Active Directory.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support the reliability and security of Active Directory infrastructure.
- Propose updates to security policies, control standards, and operational procedures to improve overall security posture.
- Adhere to employment agreements, company policies, and management directives, including potential changes in work location, team assignment, or schedule due to evolving business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, managing, or maintaining Active Directory environments in large enterprises or while consulting for large organizations.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture, infrastructure, platform components, and data protection mechanisms.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with the design, engineering, deployment, or operations of enterprise access management systems.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Azure AD Connect services.
