Optum Tech (UnitedHealth Group) is seeking an Information Security Engineer to specialize in the hardening and architecture of our enterprise Active Directory environment. In this role, you will provide critical security guidance and help evolve our secure access management strategy. What You'll Do
- Assist the subject matter expert on large-scale Active Directory hardening for medium to high complexity environments.
- Act as an advisor on best practices for designing robust, business-enabling architecture.
- Maintain industry-leading knowledge of current and emerging technologies related to Active Directory.
- Participate in defining programs that support the enterprise strategy for secure access management services.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop supporting security principles.
- Contribute to consistent patterns and frameworks to evolve the company’s security architecture.
- Provide consulting to business owners and application teams on connecting their services to Active Directory.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting the Active Directory infrastructure.
- Recommend changes to security policies, control standards, and operational practices when appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience designing, managing, or maintaining Active Directory environments for a large enterprise, or as a consultant to large organizations.
- Knowledge of Active Directory architecture, infrastructure, platform, and data security.
Nice to Have
- Specific experience in architecture, engineering, deployment, or operational management of enterprise access management solutions.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure AD Connect services.
