Responsibilities
- Gather client requirements using appropriate tools and methods.
- Evaluate requirements from various sources, resolve inconsistencies, simplify complex data, identify core needs, and differentiate between surface requests and actual objectives.
- Convert business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the platform, and document business workflows and system configurations.
- Design and configure insurance products and claim data structures based on client specifications.
- Use platform tools to develop user interfaces and user pathways for insurance offerings in line with client needs.
- Apply scripting capabilities within the platform to implement business logic and financial computations.
- Develop testing materials as needed and conduct system and integration tests to verify solution compliance with agreed requirements.
- Assist clients during their testing phases.
- Assess data migration needs and define data transformation and field mapping rules.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders across technical and business domains, and prepare presentations and visual or written summaries for project deliverables.
- Generate and manage client-facing documentation, and keep system and business process records current.
- Serve as the primary client contact and represent the organization at client locations when necessary.
- Handle and resolve client inquiries within the scope of the project.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and budget.
- Report project status to clients and internal leadership, and escalate issues requiring resolution.
- Identify potential project risks and define mitigation strategies.
- Maintain project records including change logs, risk registers, and progress tracking reports.
- Work with the development team to define and design new platform features.
- Share technical knowledge and support team members within the Implementation Consultant group.
- Contribute to and support organizational best practices.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to information security.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of the complete software development project lifecycle.
- Professional background in a business analyst or technical business analyst position.
- Experience producing various types of documentation such as business requirements, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Commercial experience applying both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
- Experience working with and configuring large or complex software systems.
- Familiarity with relational database concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong communication and client interaction skills.
- Proven ability to handle challenging discussions with stakeholders.
- Solid organizational abilities, including attention to detail and effective multitasking.
- Professional approach to work with a sense of accountability.
- Evidence of contributing beyond core job responsibilities.
- Holding a degree or possessing equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with configuration, scripting, and logical rule implementation.
Nice to Have
- Background in general insurance, particularly in policy or claims functions—highly preferred.
