About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing SCADA systems with a focus on CygNet platforms and industrial control system environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain SCADA system performance across operational networks
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ICS and SCADA infrastructure
- Perform regular system updates and software patches on control platforms
- Support integration between SCADA systems and field devices
- Ensure system availability and reliability for continuous operations
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify system improvement opportunities
- Document system configurations and changes according to standards
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing for control systems
- Implement cybersecurity measures specific to industrial environments
- Troubleshoot communication issues between remote terminal units and central systems
- Conduct performance analysis and tuning of SCADA applications
- Support engineering projects involving system expansion or upgrades
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols
- Provide technical guidance during incident response activities
- Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
- Configure and manage user access controls within SCADA platforms
- Perform routine system backups and data integrity checks
- Develop and maintain system diagrams and network documentation
- Assist in testing new system features before deployment
- Respond to after-hours alerts and system outages as needed
