Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Ltd. is hiring a Senior HW/SW Systems Engineer to be the technical anchor for our End-to-End Stolen Vehicle Tracking platform. In this role, you will drive the development of central hardware and software components and lead their implementation and certification within international customer projects.
What You'll Do
- Manage the development of our Stolen Vehicle Tracking Hardware from conception to series production readiness.
- Plan, monitor, and execute all necessary accreditations and HW/SW certifications (e.g., Thatcham, SCM, UNECE, CE, RED, ECE R10, FCC) in Europe and beyond.
- Coordinate with testing laboratories, support tests through debugging, and ensure hardware and firmware compliance.
- Continuously monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards in the Stolen Vehicle Services and telematics environment to proactively ensure compliance.
- Advise the HW/SW development process and create and review relevant documentation (test plans, reports, technical documents, declarations of conformity, installation guidelines).
- Ensure the suitability of products for permanent vehicle installation and create corresponding installation guidelines.
- Conduct risk analyses for hardware revisions and firmware updates and define the certification strategy for product changes.
- Support audits and technical customer tests.
- Act as the central interface between hardware/software engineers, product management, external testing laboratories/authorities, as well as sales, IT, and project management in international customer projects.
What We're Looking For
- A successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Telecommunications, or Automotive Engineering, ideally with a focus on Embedded Systems Design.
- 5+ years of experience in electronics development of automotive components or certified IoT/telematics devices.
- Experience in leading at least one product development from concept to a fully certified embedded system solution for the automotive sector.
- Knowledge in the field of telematics solutions (hardware, software, communication protocols) and IoT architecture.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to translate regulations into technical requirements.
- Negotiation-level German and English, both spoken and written.
- An independent, structured, and customer-oriented way of working, with a willingness to travel.
- A confident and professional demeanor at all hierarchical levels.
Nice to Have
- Experience with vehicle location, telematics, or asset tracking.
