About the Role
The technician will diagnose system issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure HVAC units operate efficiently across various environments.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and service HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in climate control systems
- Install new heating and cooling units according to manufacturer guidelines
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, thermostats, and motors
- Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants and high-voltage systems
- Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation
- Respond to emergency service calls during and after business hours
- Test system functionality after repairs or installations
- Perform seasonal maintenance on residential and commercial units
- Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical customers
- Adhere to local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support team members during complex installations
- Recommend system upgrades or replacements based on equipment condition
- Handle inventory of parts and tools in service vehicle
