Grand Canyon University, Arizona’s premier private Christian university, is looking for an online Adjunct Faculty member to teach History of Design. In this fully remote role, you will facilitate a writing-intensive course exploring the history of visual arts, graphic design, and animation, fostering student engagement and providing consistent academic support.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to actively engage students within the online classroom.
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and established timeframes for feedback.
- Respond to student questions and emails within the expected timeframes.
- Provide a positive example by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of advertising theories, design principles, and campaign development.
- A clear understanding of Copyright, Trademark, and Intellectual Property, including ethics, laws, consequences, and content evaluation.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field.
