Ascentec Engineering LLC is seeking a High School Summer Intern to gain practical experience in our manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to production operations, where you will assist with a variety of tasks and projects to support our teams and learn the fundamentals of manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Assist with manufacturing tasks and ongoing projects.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve basic manufacturing issues.
- Participate in implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Learn and assist with assembly procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to improve assembly efficiency and quality.
- Work on projects aimed at streamlining production processes.
- Participate in basic quality control methods to ensure product standards.
- Assist in identifying and solving quality issues.
- Help implement quality control techniques.
- Work with the maintenance team to understand equipment needs.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules.
- Participate in basic troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Help document manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Assist in generating reports on quality control inspections.
- Provide insights to improve manufacturing processes.
- Engage with different departments to provide feedback on manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with production planning to ensure optimal workflow.
- Contribute to enhancing overall product quality and efficiency.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized shop floor.
- Participate in regular cleanup activities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Help organize tools, materials, and workstations.
- Assist in the handling and movement of materials and parts through the shop.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials.
- Help track and manage inventory levels.
- Learn and apply safety regulations in manufacturing operations.
- Assist in developing safety protocols for production activities.

- Applicant must be able to pass a drug screening prior to employment.
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Work Mode
This position is onsite in our Tualatin, Oregon facility.
