Blockchain is hiring a Head of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

Responsibilities

• Define a long-term platform and reliability vision, shaping the SRE strategic roadmap and setting engineering benchmarks for observability, automation, and production readiness
• Enable rapid product delivery without compromising compliance or security by designing intuitive self-service systems
• Manage, guide, and grow a worldwide team of experienced SREs, fostering leadership development through mentorship and robust recruitment
• Design and oversee secure hybrid infrastructure spanning GCP, AWS, and on-premise data centers, deploying critical workloads using Kubernetes and Hashicorp Nomad under zero-trust security models
• Lead incident management and post-mortem analysis, meeting MTTD and MTTR goals while resolving underlying technical debt and system inconsistencies
• Oversee cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code practices, networking, and cost controls to advance automation across workflows
• Collaborate across departments to align on service delivery, ensuring adherence to regulatory and audit requirements
