VERSES is hiring a Head of Product Design to drive the user-experience vision for our Genius platform, ensuring intuitive workflows for ML researchers, data scientists, and enterprise developers. You will translate complex AI/ML concepts into elegant interfaces and lead a distributed team of product designers and UX researchers.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine design processes to support rapid iteration and high fidelity.
- Craft a long-term UX strategy that balances simplicity with the platform’s technical depth.
- Scale and mentor a world-class design team across geographies; conduct talent sourcing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Create a safe, fun environment where designers can perform at their best.
- Lead user needs assessments, task analyses, and usability testing.
- Advocate for inclusive and accessible design, adhering to WCAG guidelines.
- Partner with PMs and engineers to plan product roadmaps and define success metrics.
- Produce high-level task flows, storyboards, and prototypes.
- Ensure consistency across web, mobile, edge, and API/SDK surfaces.
- Explore how Active Inference can enhance user productivity.
- Ensure designs facilitate human-AI collaboration and embed explainability.
- Stay abreast of AI/ML trends and integrate them into the product vision.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in product or UX design.
- 3+ years leading design organizations.
- Experience managing distributed teams and designers.
- Experience building design capabilities and processes for complex SaaS or AI/ML platforms.
- Portfolio showcasing strong visual and interaction design craft and a record of shipping intuitive, data-driven products.
- Deep understanding of human-centered design practices, research methodologies, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to translate cutting-edge AI/ML concepts into usable features.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
