Booksy is hiring a Head of Cybersecurity

Booksy is looking for a Head of Cybersecurity to lead and shape our security strategy, ensuring our products and internal systems are protected against emerging threats. You will mentor a team of security engineers and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to prioritize security across our platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of five security engineers specializing in AppSec and DFIR.
• Define and execute the cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure security is prioritized.
• Stay ahead of security trends and emerging threats to evolve our security posture.
• Ensure compliance with industry cybersecurity regulations and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Senior-level knowledge in at least two of these areas: AppSec, CloudSec, NetSec, Security Monitoring, DFIR, Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security.
• Proven experience in setting up and leading cybersecurity strategies.
• Hands-on skills with the ability to step in and code or configure if needed.
• Strong collaboration skills focused on influencing teams rather than enforcing security by authority.
• Expertise in modern cloud-native security (GCP, AWS, SaaS, CI/CD).
• Experience with modern software development life cycles including CI/CD pipelines, frequent changes, and automation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with incident response and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of cutting-edge security tools and frameworks.
• Strong relationships with cybersecurity vendors.

Team & Environment

You will lead a team of five security engineers and report to the Director of Enterprise Technology within the Security Team.
