Motorola Solutions is looking for a GIS Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with customer resources to manage GIS data maintenance for our public safety products, serving as a key point of contact throughout the contract life cycle.
What You'll Do
- Conduct remote and potentially on-site GIS configuration, setup, and data maintenance.
- Coordinate information and communication between Motorola Solutions and customer contacts.
- Manage communication related to the overall project schedule and maintenance.
- Complete required department and project reports and documentation.
- Present training using classroom methods including lecture, presentations, and demonstrations.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional experience in GIS, Geography, or Cartography.
- Ability to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
- Experience with ESRI applications and GIS data management principles.
- Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, cached mapping services, and ArcGIS Online.
- Knowledge of cartographic mapping principles and geospatial processes for public safety.
- Knowledge of the Python scripting language.
- Ability to identify, develop, and uphold data workflows for varying GIS data needs.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and successfully meet deadlines.
- A strong commitment to product quality.
- Knowledge of standard office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and work as a team member.
- Willingness to travel.
Nice to Have
- Public Safety GIS knowledge.
